These are my opinions and mine alone. I don't blog on behalf of my employer (Edelman) though, like anyone else, my work life will inspire much of what gets published here.
When there is a client relationship involved, and that relationship is known to me at the time of writing, I will most certainly disclose same. If I wasn't aware of that relationship at the time of writing, I will edit the post to make the disclosure and indicate that the additions were made. Similarly, if I'm writing about a significant competitor to a client, I will disclose the client relationship.
I will never accept a billing to write about a client. Ever. I will also politely refuse any request from someone at Edelman to write about a client unless it's clear that the client is within my perso-professional interests and that my audience will not consider such a post out-of-character.
